David Biro, M.D., Ph.D.


Dr. David Biro received his BA from the University of Pennsylvania, his MD from Columbia University, and his PhD from Oxford University. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn where he was awarded the Alpha Omega Alpha award for excellence in teaching. Dr. Biro has been named one of New York's "Top Doctors" in New York Magazine in 2005, 2006, and 2007.


In addition to practicing dermatology and training dermatology residents, Dr. Biro is actively involved in the medical humanities. He teaches a course in medicine and literature at SUNY Downstate and has published articles in numerous medical journals, the New York Times and Slate magazine. His first book One Hundred Days won critical acclaim and he recently published his second book; The Language of Pain.

Grace Cutugno Dermatologist Brooklyn MOHS



Grace A. Cutugno, RPA-C



Grace practices both adult and pediatric dermatology full time at Bay Ridge Skin and Cancer, where she has been an integral part of the staff since early 2007. In addition to seeing patients, she specializes in surgical procedures including cyst and dysplastic nevi removal. She is a board certified physician assistant, having completed her medical training at Long Island University where she graduated summa cum laude. During her training she completed rotations at various hospitals including St. Vincents Catholic Medical Center and Beth Israel Medical Center. She also has a BS in General Sciences from Fordham University-Rose Hill. In addition to practicing medicine, Grace is also an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Long Island University.




Vincent Accurso, RPA-C



Vincent Accurso, RPA-C



Vincent is the newest associate of Bay Ridge Skin & Cancer. He holds multiple bachelor’s degrees, both in science and the humanities. In 2011, he received his second Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Long Island University. During his medical training at LIU, Vincent completed rotations at various private practices and hospitals including Long Island Jewish, Maimonides, and Bellevue Medical Centers. Vincent is a board certified Physician Assistant and has completed his dermatology training under the supervision of Dr. David Biro. In addition to practicing both adult and pediatric dermatology full time, Vincent's interests include advances in both Laser Tattoo Removal and Laser Facial Rejuvenation.

Laszlo Biro, M.D., FAACP



Dr. Laszlo Biro founded Bay Ridge Skin and Cancer over 40 years ago. In addition to building the largest dermatology practice in Brooklyn, Dr. Biro has been active in academic medicine. As a Clinical Professor of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate, he has taught and mentored many outstanding dermatologists in the United States. He was Chief of Dermatology at Lutheran Medical Center until 2005 and remains the Chief of Dermatology at Victory Memorial Hospital. He is a leading expert on skin cancer in general and cryosurgery in particular. He has written many chapters in textbooks and published numerous articles in medical journals. Dr. Biro is invited to lecture around the world on a regular basis to share his expertise. He has been repeatedly named one of New York's Best Doctors by Castle Connolly and New York Magazine.
